Prudential WP Endowment Advice Please

A bit of advice if possible, currently a Prudential with profits endowment holder, with 9 years left to run.
The cover value is £45k and its value today is £21k.
We now have no outstanding mortgage, and have only really been keeping it going for the life assurance cover.
With it costing us £90pm and with an impending banking crisis looming, my inkling is to cash it and run.
Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.

Chances are that it is on par or beating savings rates. It is protected under the FSCS. If its with profits then only part of it will be subject to investment returns going in the wrong direction.
What would you do with it if you surrendered it?
