Did I make a mistake in choosing a DMP?

I have a feeling I'm pretty stuffed no matter what I do.

Since writing the initial post, I had to move home because of structural damage to my place of residence. It is now being converted into a conference centre, so no hope of returning to my nice, all bills included flat.

Between the costs of the move* and my increased rent, bills and council tax, my payments to my DMP are severely reduced. So, now my pay off date in April 2018. Considering I started in 2007, that's 11 years to pay off my debts. I now regret not going the IVA route. I guess 20/20 vision is only in hindsight.



*My creditors hounded me by telephone, despite writing to each of them twice about having to pay only nominal amounts for two months because I was forced to move, find bond, etc. Their actions forced me to put my phone on silent, which resulted in missing out on speaking to my grandmother as she lay on her death bed. :mad:
