Archos tablets reduced Tesco direct(save £50/£75/£80)

Still searching Tesco online hoping to find BIG reductions...no luck,but came accross these...only problem is I dont know much about Tablets,thinking about one for teenage daughters christmas,but will have to research them 1st.

Can I just say that these are absolutely fab!!! We have an archos 7 and to be honest .... its taken over our laptop. We bought ours when they first came out and paid £249 for it. But can I just let you know that asda are selling these at the minute for £149 and £179 for the archos 10 .... the only difference is screen size archos 7 is 7" and the archos 10 is obviously 10".... would deffo recommend!!!

Can I ask if you think a 7" screen is better than a 10" screen, especially if I was going to take it with me when we go through to Edinburgh to see our son on the train. I take it I wouldn't get a wifi signal on the train? I'm not up on that yet. Don't even know if it costs to use wifi in a hotel. I'll need to check that. I miss my pc when I go away and it would be useful to check emails etc. I was thinking the 7" would be better for the neatness of it but is it still good and clear? I take it Archos is a good make? I've seen a couple of makes I had not heard of and was thinking of only getting a recognisable one but I take it Archos is and it's only that I don't know it? Many thanks for your help.

sorry i cant u help on the specs and info on the product interested to know myself though

i know u get free wifi on first class rail travel not sure about standard travel, most hotels charge for wifi either per hour or per day xx HTH

The 7" inch would be better probably if you are using it a lot on the go, as it will fit easily into a bag.. whereas you would need a bigger bag than a standard size handbag to fit the 10 inch one in I should think.

It really depends on personal preference and what you are looking for .... The 7" is alot neater and easier to put in a bag or inside coat poctet etc whwreas the 10" is closer to the size of the ipad. We have the 7" and for us the screen is ample, its mainly used for browsing, facebook, angry birds and of course MSE, The archos does not come with the android market on it but there is a way of downloading it onto the tablet which is pretty straight forward.
Archos is a very good make my hubby has a small archos media player (no wifi but uses it to watch movies on when he's away working, he's a lorry driver and nights are long when he's parked up) It is about 5 years old and we have NEVER had any problems with it despite it regularly being accidently dropped from the cab etc lol
I would say we have the Archos 7 from May 2010 and Never had any bother with it.
