A friend got hit by this today on one of his PC's & was able to remove it eventually...

Payment to be made in €, not £ is a bit of a giveaway and too! many! exclamation! marks! everywhere! Oh and although the level of English seems better than usual, it's still not that good

Edit: I'm sure the Met will also be pleased to know that they now have a yahoo.com email address :rotfl:

No "Cash in a brown envelope" option, it can't be the Met.

haha I just got hit by this today. I had just dropped my laptop made my chuckle when I read one of the reasons why "the met" has blocked my pc was neglectful use of a pc.

I just did a system restore and its gone

Phew! Saves me saying that the Subject "New scam trojan, pertains to be from Met Police" should have read "purports to be from Met Police".
