think UKMonkey did that once, 'cept rather than cancel reschedule to the next day when they're back to normal thinking that they'd had their Gap visit for the month.0 -

Ha! Sneaky! But I like it. I was tempted to ask for a balloon. I'm thinking next time they do this, I'm going to make more and more outlandish requests and see what they'll do for me. They're asking for it if they behave like today - do they really think that I'm fooled that this is the normal service? Yelling 'FIVE STAR ***' as soon as I ordered and getting into a flap right in front of my eyes is a bit of a giveaway. I'm paid to be observant, remember.0 -
Ha ha! Too funny. I was once almost bundled to the floor by a MOS desperate to get to the loos before me.:D
If I ever give up MS or get the boot from Gap I'm going to ask for a receipt every time I'm in that joint. :A0 -

Was hoping it would stay busy - trying to catch up on credit card payments from my OH being unemployed for 2 months
are you registered with IMS ?
not sure where you are based but they have nationwide merchandising project on at the moment over past few and coming weeks, with plenty of work if no one else has already taken them, not greatest pay but may help the quiet time and fairly easy work as long as you have a car.0 -
It's been talked about on here before, but when I retire from MSing I'm definitely going to get a t-shirt made up with "I'm a mystery shopper" on the front and "but today is my day off" on the back.
I have also told lots of people to ask for receipts.0 -

i always ask for a receipt and I dont even do burger jobs anymore. Today glad I did, as I could prove my order had been taken right, but made wrong, and I had to wait 14 minutes for the food. So wished I actually was MS that store today, dirty counter, greasy floor, a till assistant who kept rubbing his hands through his hair, wiping his face then rearranged some ones chips on a tray , condiments were empty
i got a free go large upgrade, refilled drink and a free icecream for my delay and wait after calling over the manager to speak to him and having a word over my concerns and delay.
Dont think he recognised me from my photo being passed around days, but he took on board every thing I told him any how and got staff on to cleaning the whole place.0 -

I'm in Nottingham. Problem is that I still work full time. I have been using MS work to subside ourt income while my OH was looking for a new job (he was very badly paid) and for the job change over (he had a period of 2 months as technically unemployed) I have been using it to help cover bills and now catchin up on the things we had to miss, but I do already work full time.
I took some lieu time last week and did a full day (11 shops for me) and did more again at the weekend but I have nothing except a few quick supermarkets lined up for the next 2 weeks now for evenings/lunches/weekends.
EDIT
No i'm not registered with IMS - I shall do so when I get home this evening
I've signed up with TERN and am waiting to hear back from their test and also got to do the test for Aba so hopefully those will help as well0 -

well its mainly to independent shops that are usually open till 8pm or later if that helps so could help after work and flexible when you do them within the 7 -10 day time frame. You have to do a minimum of 20 though to assist with logistics and delivery of POS. Could your OH not do some inbetween job hunting too?0 -

He's back in a job now which is good - we're just catching up on the bit that had to give while we were struggling. He was doing a lot in the in between time as well
And that info really helps - Is definately something i'm going to get onto when i get home
Thanks sooo much for the help!!0 -

Could you OH register to do some mystery shopping as well, just whilst he is looking for another job. He might get offered different jobs to you, as some are just for males, or targeted at specific people.0
