My OH defaulted on a loan in 2005 and it was passed to a DCA. The default has now dropped off his credit report.
About 2 years ago the DCA agency tracked him down and we were so scared of the letters/potential bailiff visits that he made contact with them and agreed a repayment plan of £100pm. The interest is frozen.
My question is, if he now stops paying the DCA can they still get a CCJ against him and put a new default on his credit report even though it's been more than 6 years since the original default date with the bank who gave him the loan?

then can take it to court and get a ccj , due to the payments been made but no defaultDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

They cannot put another default on the file, but could still take him to court and try to obtain a CCJ.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0

Did the loan have PPI? Has he reclaimed this?If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0

I/we have no idea. He has none of the original paperwork, only the DCA paperwork.
How would we find out?
If if did, who would we reclaim it from? Can't see the original loan issuer doing anything to reduce the debt, and the DCA would say it's an issue for the original issuer?0 -
