    Mortgage-free Glee!
    Am feeling v. smug today!

    1) Paid off Amex card balance :A
    2) Convinced MBNA that they needed to keep me as I am such a good customer and give me a 6 month 0% deal with a negotiated lower rate fee. So transferred remaining CC debt to this.
    3) Got credit rating report and discovered I am now an excellent score so my gradual cancellation of cards and setting up direct debits to stop missed payments has finally worked:T
    4) Updated my freezer contents list.
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

    1. Did all my Pigsback clicks - just have to remember to do it every day now!
    2. Internet comparison for my boyf's printer cartridges. Have saved him £14+ so far, but want to try harder!
    3. Decided not to drive 40m round trip for jobs paper therefore saved precious petrol and 30p. Will search online for jobs instead.
    4. Decided to not visit boyf at the weekend (60mile round trip). He can come and see me for the day on Sunday instead.
    5. One thing left to do - decide what me and boyf will do on Sun which won't cost any money (well me anyway!)

Phew! And I didn't think I'd done anything today! :)

I got paid today, so I paid all my bills for the month. My account balance looks pretty pathetic, but I think it's worth it being organised and paying things as soon as possible to avoid extra interest.

Got a refund of £105 bank charges.

And this weekend's entertainment is a works night out - all paid for - so that will save me spending money in the pub.

Now just doing my Quidco searches.

    Job's a good 'un.

I checked with her to see if she minded and she was fine about it saying she couldn't be bothered with all that!! woo hoo some more money for the challenge!

    Today I have:

    1. Used soda crystals in wash and halved my washing powder. :D
    2. Got a lift into work and that saved me bus fare
    3. Got a post card thing from Twinings for a free sample of fruit tea which I will take up with them in a moment as I love fruit teas.
    4. Have sold 2 things on EBAY (though waiting for auctions to finish in 1 - 2 hours officially)
    5. Did a free work out with a DVD given to me by a friend
    6. Took pleasure in ripping to pieces an invite from Littlewoods to open an account
    7. Did QuidCo searches and entered Pigsback comps.

Hmmm the title of the thread is what *one* small DFW thing have you done today isn't it...? :o

    Great bargins!!!!
  • OK, had a really positive day.
Checked some online accounts, moved some money about and have managed to pay a huge chunk off my CC's. Have opened an account to put money away each month for christmas and another one for holidays! I posted a few things I sold on ebay. I transferred £400 from paypal to bank a/c, although this has to last me 4 weeks now.I think online banking will halp me keep control of my finances. I have always avoided it before, also avoided opening the paper statements. Not any more. I have turned over a new leaf.
