I have been offered a fixed rate deal from Lloyds (C & G) of 1.99% until February 2008, followed by a fixed rate of 5.99% until February 2012. The early repayment charges are pretty severe. The way things are going with interest rates at the moment, this seems like a really good deal. Has anyone got any views ?

Their regular 5 year deals are better overall I think.
5.09% for 5 years with a £999 fee or 5.35% for 5 yrs with no fee.I am a Mortgage Adviser
