Depends on player and TV, but yes I think animated films (esp. Pixar movies - Up etc.) look fantastic on Blu-ray - rich, deep colours.
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is also really good on Blu-Ray
I'll agree here, because of being CGI, they're better quality. Wall-E is probably graphically the best film film I've ever seen, it's stunning!!0 -

I think the BOFOF goes on until the end of the month, but any new Disney films that come out won't be included.Retro_Bunny wrote: »Post jacking here, but anyone have a good shout for Disney BOGOF on Blu-ray?
And is Blu ray for animation actually better?
Rather annoyingly a few weeks ago Zavvi had their BRs at £15 BOGOF but I waited to get a Zavvi code and now they have gone up
I got mine from Play instead as the weird way Play prices their multibuys means you get them half price instead of BOGOF so I got Beauty and the Beast, Tangled and Tron Legacy for around £8 each on BR. I was tempted to get Bambi too but I have it on DVD already so couldn't really warrant it.
Animation looks amazing on Blu ray, especially hand drawn animation as you do not get the pixilation that you get with DVD so the black lines are so smooth you could be looking at the cels themselves. The Disney BRs are exceptional quality and the old classics like Pinocchio and Sleeping Beauty look better than ever.0 -
