Have I finally lost it? :rotfl:

Yes you have - buy a house and put your parents out of their misery.

If you take your deposit fund and get a 90% mortgage you should be able to buy something for around £2000 - I hear that's possible in Oldham.

Although your graph is probably right, correct, look at the scale for time?

And then ask yourself you have missed out earlier on, but are you prepared to not buy for the whole of your life waiting? Just cause it would have been cheaper if you did it sooner.

By all means I will be buying at the first opportunity. I am not waiting for things to drop further and I haven't been waiting so far sitting on a deposit, I really am coming up to my first chance to buy in my life. Next year it will all come together.

Don't worry my parents aren't miserable, if anything I think my mum might be when I move out.

As for £2k houses I a not too sure on that one.:rotfl:

Some of you may have realised I am just after a home, its great prices are coming down while my deposit gets bigger but I am not going to hold back when I have a deposit.

Personally I don't actually want to live up there, every time I drive up there I wonder what it is all about.

And if it snows you can't get anywhere.

I am quite happy down the hill in the scummy bits.

I will be buying in a scummy bit of the area i want to live in as well:)

I hope house prices in my area tank to 2k, lowest i have seen so far is a repo 2 bed terrace go for 29k iirc.
