If you get one of the catalogues from this company and want to order something be aware that even though they say you can order on-line rather than using their rip-off 0844 number, the prices of the items may not be the same as in the brochure.
I was charged £2 more for an item even though I quoted the 'media code' in the letter with the brochure.
Their so-called Customer Services point blank refused to do anything about it and, as they have taken my money already, they have me over a barrel.:(
Not only that but they charge an exorbitant delivery charge to supply to NI.

I could be mistaken, but don't the Distance Selling Regulations apply here, thus they HAVE to give you your money back if you send the item back to them? And if I'm not mistaken, you should have a cooling off period to allow you to cancel the order?0

i would agree. A call to trading standards will sort this out.

Yes, but I could end up paying about 8 quid as it is done by carrier.:(
They said the order couldn't be cancelled as it was already being dispatched. I think the cooling off period doesn't start until you nactually receive the goods, which is a bit stupid.0 -

I could be wrong, but I believe they would have to pay for the return postage as well. Sounds like a question for On Your Behalf, this one. :-)0 -
I assume you found out the delivery charge before you paid, if so why didnt you just stop there and then?0

Look, I'm not complaining about the delivery charge - lots of mail order companies across the water charge extra for delivery outside the GB mainland.
My point is about the unfairness of advertising an item for a certain price and then refusing to sell it at that price if someone orders it on line rather than via their 0844 call centre.:(0
