As we value honesty above all else (apart from a blank cheque or a winning lottery ticket) I think that anyone who chooses to post a photo of someone else as his/her avatar should be excluded from this exclusive gathering.
He can't possibly be that goodlooking :D

Yeah but Janey51 - He started it! So he can't really be excluded from the exclusive gathering.

Ah but Kitleo...surely, by definition, a DFW is a person who wants to be free of debt.
I suppose I've just shot my own argument down in flames as Martin/Matthew does want to be free of debt by never having debt in the first place :o

If Eamonn Holmes et al get honorary doctorates surely Martin could be an honorary DFW? Maybe we could attach some conditions though - that he has to have it in his sig as well.

I'd go for 000 also. :money:

Or maybe Life President..... or would that give him the power to order us about and tell us what to do (ok girls, calm down).

Don't think an SOA is appropriate - but a confession def. is!!!!!!!
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Not until he shows the following proof of his nerdy status:

    1) he has to have a £2 coin jar, and be willing to dismember anyone who touches it, or even looks at it.

    2) He has to have a pretty spreadsheet, index linked to inflation rates so it alerts him the SECOND he gets out of debt

    3) He clicks his clickthroughs, does everything via quidco and gets very tetchy if he finds out partner bought something without going through Greasy Palm

    4) He has to batch cook, meal plan and smell faintly of stardrops

    5) He has to be mercilessly teased whenever the MSE God comes on GMTV. Um, well, maybe not this one....

But if we all live in fear that if he doesn't get a number he'll take his website and go home, then I vote for 000.
This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Current Pay Off Target : £1500

Do we know that Martin doesn't have any debt? OR does he stooze and as such have debt, but prefer to shift it from one card to the other and so not really be a DFW as he's happier having 'debt' providing it's giving him a free 'loan' (did anyone follow that?)

Surely one who created MSE in 7 days should be exempt number status. Maybe it should be something like :'The One', or 'The Omnipitent MSE DFW Nerd' or 'MSE Nerd the almighty'. In actual fact shouldn't one of us offer ourselves in some kind of weekly sacrifical ceremony or something along those lines. Or am I just talking bollox?
