Problems receiving prize - it's a tricky one!

Chased up a prize today to be told by the PR company it had been delivered to me at that is that, which it certainly had not been delivered, the tracking status says signature - DELIVERED TO BIN CUPBOARD. Now I know that's not my signature and no card had been put through the door to inform me of this. Even more oddly there would have been no space in my 'bin cupboard' as it had bin bags in oddly enough.
So it seems we are at stale mate, as far as they are concerned they sent it they have a signature and it's tough, what can I do? I feel it is unfair. It wasn't an expensive win but it was a win meant for my daughter and I feel it very unfair she should miss out because of this. Any ideas what I can do?

my oh's mum once had something left in her recycling bin, on the day they were being collected without ever asking it to be left in a bin, needless to say it was lost as the bin men assumed it was rubbish....... Its obvious thats not your sig so i'd push for a replacement xx0

Have you tried getting in touch with Royal Mail and putting in a claim?
Absolutely gutted about Paul Walker - RIP xx0 -
If it is the Royal Mail you can try claiming from them as you will have the tracking no and details. They will fob you off but the Postal Review Panel you go to after that are brilliant - they got me £360 compo when Royal Mail delayed a ticket win I had. It is a lengthy process though but all detailed on their web page.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

There should be no issue of being fobbed off, if there was a sig y would u have it left in a cupboard because you would have been there too claim it. Unfortunately I think it's the royal mail that is at fault not the company. If they have sent it recorded and it's been delivered by royal mail that's as far as the company is liable. You need too get in contact with royal mail and find out why things that have been sent tracked which requires a signature from a member of your house hold on it for delivery was left in the first place. If it's a case that the company did not send it registered or recorded then u can chase them because they have a duty too make sure you receive the item too. It's very complicated isnt it lol .xx0
