I'm just starting to get the 'saving' bug and found this site looking for the £5 off tesco grocery - it is great!

I've read a few posts about collecting the clubcard point codes but not sure what the benefit of this is? i have a clubcard but only have about 6.00 on it so far... i noticed someone mentioned that 1000 is about £40?? is this right and am i better to use points vouchers instead of the £5 off vouchers online?

any advice for a newbie appreciated. thanks.

I am still very new to collecting points too, Well been doing in full on for 7 wks now and this quarter so far I have over 13000 points, which if taken in deals would be £520. This works out as for every £10 *1000points you get £40 in deals.

So how the hell do I get so many points,

Shop in tesco as many times a day I can, hopefully to get till splits, extra points.

Use home delivery - Usually get about 2 deliverys a week which I have managed to bag 1000 points each time so far.

Recycle where I can, phones and ink cartridges

I would also suggest you have a look @ paidtoshop.co.uk. They will take you be the hand

    Hope that helps a little

Do Tesco ever do free delivery codes for groceries without a minimum spend? The only ones I can recall seeing are for if you spend over £50, over £75 etc.
  • Hi everyone - I'm new on here and new to shopping on line with Tescos and I was wondering if anyone would help me please.

I completed an online grocery shop amounting to £150 and used a £20 off £150 spend code which worked. The delivery is not until next Wednesday. As always, I am always logging on to add and remove items. If the end amount totals to less than £150, will the £20 off still be applied to the end amount??
    Thanks.

    Hi,

I just tried to use one of the £15 off a £50 voucher in the online grocery section of tesco. Interestingly the Birds Eye Beef Burgers (currently £2.49 for 4, buy one get one free) had the BOGOF element deducted before the final bill came up, so you couldnt use the £15 voucher.

I dont think this is the case for all BOGOFs - so either they are doing this only specifically for some products, or they are trialling it - with a view to rolling it out on all BOGOFs, to close the loophole.

    E.G.
    Most BOGOFs:
    - order 22 * BOGOF product @ £2.49 each = £54.78
    - Delivery £4.99 = £59.77
    - use voucher code for £15 off £15 spend = £44.77
    - BOGOF discount applie of 11 * £2.49, £27.39 = £17.38

    Birde Eye Burgers BOGOF
    - order 22 * Burgers @ £2.49 each = £54.78
    - Delivery £4.99 = £59.77
    - BOGOF Discount applied £27.39 = £32.38
    - £15 voucher wont work because spend is below £50

Hmmmmmmm, have TESCO eventually got wise?

    Hi Marcellep
Thats very impressive - I've been tescoing about the same length of time as you but not got anywhere near that amount of points !

Prob got about 3000 in total spread over 4 accounts. I know it's personal but how much do you spend a week to get that amount of points ? I prob spend about £60 a week on groceries inc wine and toiletries and feel this holds me back. The codes for home delivery always look like you need to spend loads before they kick in.

I just ordered 2 cases of 'world of wine mixed case' @£45 each case. They have a special offer on which comes up as a coupon at checkout £30 off when you order 2 cases. This can be used with the 1500 points coupon giving you a saving of £30 and 1500 points! Works out to just over £5 a bottle incl. delivery for some top wine.

Hi, can anyone tell me if you order groceries from tesco's through Quidco, do you get any cashback? or is it just on everything but groceries.

    Hi

Has anyone tried the latest wine vouchers? Have one for 50pts WYB New Zealand wine. Was wondering if it scans off other white wines?

I think you get £5 for your first grocery shop but after that zilch!

Can anyone help me please. I placed an order for Tesco groceries and used a code for spending over £75. When I checked out I hadn't finished shopping and the total was under £75 so the code was banked. Since then I have added more to the order but I can't tell from the order confirmation whether the code has now been applied. Will it be applied automatically?
    Thanks
