So how are people doing so far this quarter,

My target is 20,000 points and so far I have 19870 and I still have three orders with 1000 points each so this will be the 1st time I have ever made this amount of points.

    19870 worth £794 in deals

Thanks to MSE and a HUGE thanks to PTS

I'm on 5237 at the mo. My best ever is 8900 so I am miles off yours. However I haven't used tesco.com yet...... but if there is another 1000 pointer it would be worth my while starting (I'm new to these boards!)

At the moment I am gathering bottles and cans as I walk the dog! My excuse is tidying up the area but tonight I got 22 items - the new recycling point at our Tesco has a machine that gives 1 clubcard point for 4 items (so each can or bottle is worth a penny in deals). Its bread and butter points but not a big scale way of collecting, however I've recently swapped to Powergen for points (and lower bills) and Tesco phone for line rental. Every little helps!

Noticed a lot of people doing BOGOF orders which is OK if you need it, think those with bags and bags of stuff under the stairs are being sucked in a bit really, it is only a bargain if you need it. As for £10 off, you then add £5 for delivery..... so only a fiver off in the end. To me I would rather go instore and get bargains reduced (sell bys) for the freezer! You can't get these online! Also I usually rummage at the back for the best sell by dates on other fresh full-priced stuff, I notice the .com pickers just take them off the front, often these are next days date..... no good if doing weekly shop to get a ruck of fresh stuff that needs eating straight away. So I still need to be convinced about online grocery orders.

As for beer etc I use vouchers to get deals for Eurotunnel, costs £15 in Deals for a daytrip. I can get packs of St Omer for under £4 in Calais and gluggable wine from Carrefour for 50p a bottle! And double points when you pay by Tesco CC abroad at the mo!!!

    Cheers

You do really well to get that many points dom. I have aroung 10000 so far this quarter which is my highest ever only having discovered points collecting a few months ago, but a lot of this is from online shopping. ( I did a few weekly shops, a few direct orders when you vould get 500 points for a little spend and 1 wine order). I can't quite see how I could get as many points otherwise.

Thanks chickenpants. I get a lot off my CC, I put everything on it and pay it off, averages about £1000 a month so 500 points monthly (it is an old Tesco Classic card, get 1pt per £2 spent anywhere) = 1500 a quarter. Powergen will be 200 or so a quarter, home phone 50 points. Tesco shopping I suppose 500-1000 a quarter. Recycling probably 100 a quarter. I've had extra phone/inkjet recycling points too which boosted me up a lot this quarter (1800 so far)

I'll have to keep a closer eye on Tesco.com though cos for example when Iams was on special for a few days I bought loads (got 4 cats!) so thats the sort of thing worth getting delivered for me, worth paying £3.99 delivery if I get 1000 points!

Hi, hope you don't mind me asking, but how many accounts do you have. That is an amazing amount of points. I said previously that I was going to try to catch up with you, don't think I am going to be able to, unless there is a new 1000 pt code soon. I really want to try to get enough points for an all inclusive holiday abroad next year. Hubbie was made redundant a few months ago, has new job now, but has taken a big drop in salary, so it looks like points are the only way we will get the holiday now. I'm gonna give it a go.:D

I do not mind you asking what so ever, ask away

I have 5 accounts, one that I have a CC for and 4 virtual accounts.

Keep reading and I am sure you will get your holiday

    * I use Tesco.com for the odd wine delivery well one so far and I do all my shopping there esp when there is an extra 1000 points available. I am always on the look out for Codes for TDirect too

Trubster well done of your points we seem to be @ similar amounts through out the quarter

    And

    Well done to everyone -

*Only buy what you need and a few extra's lol

    Hello,

I want to spend £100 at Tesco (groceries), what is the best way to do this?

I have seen there is a code for £10 off £25 spend - can that be used 4 times on the same account? If I do my shopping in multiple orders, do I need to leave a few days between the deliveries?

    Thanks

Hi, you can usually only use each code once on each account, if you want to place multiple orders you will need to open some new accounts, in your partners, kids, relatives, pets etc names. I have 4 accounts and have used this code 3 times so far. If you search through the forums you may be able to find other codes that you can use on a higher value shop. XX-CVHT gives 1000pt on £50 spend. Hope this helps

Just placed my first online order. Came to £26 and I decided to used the £10 off code. Delivery £3.99. Not many of the BOGOF's appealed to me but wanted loo rolls, 2 1Ltr bottles of sherry and clothes liquid wash (Tesco's Liquid wash is on promo and we use it anyway) and we had decided to have freezer clearance this week so should now be able to avoid the store and thus buying stuff we didn't need. If it all works out £26 worth of stuff I wanted anyway, after £10 off and BOGOF's deducted should be approx £15.60 inc delivery, plus 39 points as using Tesco CC to pay (worth £1.56 in deals)

Basically I have saved £6 more than I would have if shopping instore which is nearly 25% discount on this shop, plus fuel and time saved (about 15 miles round trip).

Thanks guys! My plans are to buy bulk items this way, I'm still a bit wary of fresh stuff but will include a few in each order and see how we go. Will prob bulk buy clothes liquid wash/fabric softener and loo rolls to get the 1000 points!
