Tried using one in my co-op today & it came up with a voucher not identified error. After having a supervisor closely followed by the store manager called over to scrutinise the voucher & verify that I was indeed the person whose name was printed on it they eventually decided to refuse it as they can't reclaim the money unless it scans. Evidently taking advantage of the Co-Ops Bogof offer isn't necessarily going to work with this voucher & could potentially cause lots of emabarrassment to some people.

No problem here . Took two pizzas ( which where clearly displayed as BOGOF on the shelf ) and coupon to the till. Coupon didnt scan , & cashier just keyed the discount no questions asked. Going back tonight with my second coupon.

BTW - only the thin crust are on BOGOF , not the deep pan.
  • laindon co-op only let me have one. but it still a free pizza so im happy.
  • Verified my coupons were valid by entering barcode numbers on the safecoupon website & let them know that the co-op refused to take them. Today I went to a different co-op in a different town & had exactly the same problem so rather than just binning them which would of been a waste I went to Tesco (I wouldn't normally set foot in there) where I know most of the staff couldn't care less whether or not coupons are valid they put them through anyway. Picked up 2 pizzas some free fresh bread yeast from the instore bakery, a free bag of breadcrumbs from the instore bakery & a pack of oyster mushrooms which were reduced to 8p but were also well beyond the point where they are safe to eat (they can still be used to grow a load more though hence the reason I wanted them). When I got to the checkout the sales assistant said don't worry about putting the pizzas through separately, the coupons wouldn't scan there either so they manually entered the discount & gave me my receipt + 26p, they had entered a discount for full price pizzas but they happened to be an offer on at 2 for £4.50 rather than £2.42 each.
The pizzas have now been given away to appreciative neighbours as I don't like supermarket pizzas, I have enough oyster mushroom spawn to innoculate a huge quantity of shredded card & produce kilos of mushrooms, enough yeast to make bread for the rest of the week, breadcrumbs which can be properly dried then used for various meals & Tesco have given me 26p for my trouble so being forced to shop there didn't turn out that badly in the end.
