Where to buy DIY pocketfold invites

Can anyone recommend where to buy all the bits for DIY pocketfold invites? We only need around 12 and there are so many different companies out there don't know how to choose!

eBay! That where we got our card from. Just spen a decent amount of time checking the pics to make sure you have exactly what you want. Check the weight/ thickness of the card too.

Although, if you only need 12 it may be best to go to hobbeycraft. You can buy them by the sheet, and actually see/ feel what you are buying.

  • We used pda card and craft! They were definitely the cheapest for us. As you only needed 12, we have some left over if you were interested....PM me!

I use pda card and craft ones. I think the quality it great, they stock a few different brands. You can send for a sample card swatch set so you can see all the colours and textures etc before you place your order.
What matters most is how well you walk through the fire
  • Another vote for pda card and crafts here! I've ordered ours from there, the card is very good quality and there are loads of different types and colours to choose from x

It would depend on what texture card you get, what thickness and what sort of printer you have!

Not all printers will accept thick card to print on. I'd check by trying a few different thicknesses first.

  • I am using pocketfoldinvites.co.uk cheapest I could find and they are all made up for you. x
  • Based on recommendations here I went for PDA and am SOOOO impressed!!!

To begin with I ordered loads of free samples of invites from a variety of websites (just went through the directories in wedding mags!) This then allowed me to see styles I liked and styles I didn't. One lady sent me a free personalised pocketfold that she designed based on our wedding colours and I fell in love immediately. Only problem was it was £3 per invite. I'd already worked out we needed to send approx. 30 invites, so this worked out at £90. OK, but thought I could do better!!

I then looked at PDA and worked out I could buy all the card I needed from one place and they even cut bespoke sizes for my save the dates (I had now worked out my final designs using the pocketfold as inspiration!). As their site has so many colours and types to choose from, I ordered a load of samples first to put colours together. HINT - instead of ordering a sample swatch, just order a variety of small pieces of card at 10p each! I got loads of samples for less than £3. Once happy with colours, I then ordered everything I needed. Total for all my card - pocketfolds, invitation mats, inserts and bespoke cut credit-card sized card for save the dates = £40 - bargain!!! Less than half price AND I even got my save the dates out of it.

They are extremely helpful, respond to emails quickly and postage is reasonable and fast!
