Hi,
My friend asked me to make a post on here - he's after a PC to use with security cameras - the spec is requires is as follows:
Pentium 4 3GHz
OS -Windows 2000/XP Pro
1Gb Ram
32 Bit PCI 2.1 Compliant Bus Slot
250 GB HHD
Intel 865 chipset Motherboard
16 Bit high colour SVGA graphic card with direct & YUV reading capability at least 64mb memory
Can anyone recommend a good place to get something that will do this?
Thanks a lot!

where has your friend got this advice from? I will say I am no expert but maybe they shouldn't need such high processor and insted of the specced gfx card a 4 channel video card should be plenty off ebay?
I tested a friends 4 channel card a while ago on an aging KT7a mobo (133Mhz chipset standard 256Mb (i.e. not DDR) SDram XP2100 processor - slightly overclocked mind) and the video piped from the telly (as I had no camera) was fantastic!
The size of hard drive is the only thing I would agree with on that spec but maybe I am missing somthing?0 -
I think that's what it says with the hardware and software he has. That's all I know unfortunately!0
