I think it may be a good idea to have city specific threads so people can discuss the specifics of job searching in that city like employers, agencies etc.

Anyway as I'm from Nottingham I'm starting this one.

So who's job-seeking in Nottingham at the moment? How are you finding it? What roles are you going for? I've seen Experian advertise recently, anybody gone for the collections roles at The Money Shop??

Anybody know any companies who are an a recruitment drive at the moment?

I'm in Nottingham! Been redundant for 2 weeks, had one interview and offered a job (but had to turn it down - grr!) and had 2 yesterday. 1 I blagged through as I didn't have enough experience, the other was fine, but the hours haven't been determined yet - nightmare when you're a single Mum! I'm looking mainly in the Social Care arena - Catch 22 are just setting up in Ollerton (yuk) so that's my next point of call! It's not going too badly, I'm just working hard on applications and keeping on going, something right will come up - it better anyway!!
