Just been doing some financial housekeeping that has been suggested and finding out my APR rates.
The rate on my Capital One Card is 27.9% which is almost as much as my storecard, asked on the telephone if they can reduce it but they said no.
Should I write to them

What a bunch of rip off crooks! That's appalling!
How is your credit rating - any chance of you getting a lower LOB card and move it across (if a 0% is not possible?) You could then tell then when to stick their APR!
Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

Absolutely. If I were you I'd just apply for a 0% APR card, transfer the balance to that and say goodbye to Capital One.0

Funnily enough I checked my credit rating today and its fine. I might balance transfer it away though onto one of my other cards, I was quite shocked to be honest, I did not expect it to be that high0
