Last of the summer wine style clothes

Hi everyone,
I'm off to a party in a couple of weeks and it has a Last of the Summer Wine theme. I'm looking for some clothes but not sure what i'm after. Tweed jackets i suppose, or is there other acceptable types of country style jackets?
Any suggestions on what gear i should get my hands on (reckon charity shops and ebay will be the best place to get it). I'm thinking of flat caps, braces, pipes - anything else?
Thanks in advance,
Damo

hi damo, pair of too big black wellies, and some cheap garden string to hold some too big trousers up, brought from a charlity shop, and bobs yer uncle.
small tip, ask at the charity shop, because you want tatty clothes that arnt as nice as the ones they put out to sell, they will have a look in their stock room for you, for stuff that even they would have sent to the rag man
hthTheoretically there is a perfect possibility of happiness: believing in the indestructible element in oneself and not striving towards it0 -
Also, perhaps you could go to your local haberdashery and ask for some little scraps and you could sew them on top elbows of tatty jackets or the knees of pants! If you are a woman, you could always wear a headscarf and perhaps some hair rollers underneath (EDIT: or even if youre not a woman- that'd get some laughs!!). Or of course, theres the wrinkly tights and a pinny!!!0

Thanks for all the suggestions - like the elbow patches idea!
