What's your budget? Long or short? I guess teenage may suit short better. And are we talking 13-14 type age or older 18-19?
Have you tried Coast or Debenhams Debut range? They have some nice stuff - I did a quick google look and punched in 'pink' and got some that might be nice0 -
shes 12, lol so not really teenage yet. shes quiet tall.
has to match my 5 year old bridesmaid but not babish iykwim x0 -
One of my bridesmaids is going to be a teenager by the time we get married, I'll be getting her an adults dress and getting straps put on. She's taller than me, so she can carry it off!0

As you aren't getting married until 2013 I wouldnt bother looking yet, because the styles will change between now and then and she'll probably have had a growth spurt, so you wont know what size will fit. What matters most is how well you walk through the fire0

Agree with picklepick...sorry hadn't realised when you were getting married. My first wedding, I had 4 nieces as BMs, the eldest was 12 when we set the date...10 months later we had to re-do her whole dress as she'd grown so much, and not just upwards lol. All of a sudden I had a BM 12 years younger than me but 3 inches taller and with a far more impressive bust than I could claim!
When you say 'match' your younger one I take it you mean in colour? With that difference in age you probably wouldnt want too similar styles?0 -
As the mum to a 16 year old who will be my BM next July . . . . don't buy it yet! She is at the ultimate growing stage. She'll get taller, get boobs, get a waist and hips! Having done some window shopping with my daughter, mainly to choose the colour so i can tie everything in else that doesn't need to wait, i found Coast, Debenhams and John Lewis the best for young adults. At 12 or 13 years of age and full of hormones she won't thank you for dressing her in anything uncool or matching with a 3 year old!! (i have found out this out first hand!!!!)0

Is she 12 now so will be 14 for the wedding or is 12 how old she will be?
Its going to be incredibly difficult to get matching dresses for a 5 and 12 year old...at that age both have different views on what they would like to wear and in my experience it usually poles apart...
Even at this stage if you ask the older one what sort of dress she wants or give her a few possible styles,I can assure you her fashion sense will have changed in 12 months from now let alone 24...
You possibly could look at contrasting colours...if your colour scheme is fuschia then mix it with a contrasting pink too so that perhaps the younger one could have a baby pink princess butterfly type dress with fuschia accents and the older one could have the fuschia hot pink dress with baby pink accents or accessories...just a thought...but keep your options open for the moment...frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

Hi Everyone,
Not wanting to hijack the thread - but can I ask a related question. I am having 4 bridesmaids (38, 28, 17 and 14 - at time of wedding next August).
I am confused as to what to do with teh 14 year old in terms of her dress. She is the youngest, but pretty much the biggest in terms of both height and weight. I have found a lovely Mori - Lee dress, but it has cups and I'm not sure this is appropriate for her (to be honest not sure if she has started to develop in that area or not).
Trouble is I think being so big she will look silly in an child's dress - and not sure if she would fit into one anyway.
The dress I have seen does have straps, but these are just of teh detachable bra strap kind.
Any ideas would be helpful.
Its rather mean, but really want the dress I've seen, but don't want her to look silly .
Thanks0
