I don't know if this is the right place to post this or if its allowed, but it seemed the most appropriate.

Cashback Rewards are offering £400.00 Cashback On debtbuster loans and you only have to receive the sales offer pack to get it.

The smallest loan they do is £5000 at a lovely 18% APR, so over a year you'd repay £5468. So even if they pay you £400 you'd be out of pocket!
Unless you're desperate for a crappy loan then I can't see this being worthwhile! (unless you can repay early without penalty)

18% on a loan is shocking, its no wonder they offer £400 cashback!!

It only says "You must receive the sales offer pack to qualify for the Cashback " therefore no reason to take out the loan itself! Just get the cashback.

I bet they don't pay the cashback if you don't complete on the loan.. Looks like a pathetic advertising ploy (again)
  • HELP!

I got drawn in by the £400 offer and I do not own a property, I only rent. They were then saying on the phone I needed to be a property owner and I said Yes just to go along with it, to get the cashback, and never take the loan.

Things then got more serious with the phone call with them explaining about credit checks, fraud, and loads of other things. I stupidly followed along and confirmed all my details, with them eventually explaining they could not do anything for me.

What does the implications of this mean? Do I get the cashback?
    Mortgage as Sept 2012: £96,000

You might get the £400 once you've done some time in jail for fraud.

  • Hi

I'm new to this, so this quuestion is probably in the wrong place - sorry!

Last year I bought a new leather suite on a buy-now-pay-later scheme. I had 1 year to pay the full amount off before interest started mounting up. 1 year later, I'd lost the paperwork, then found it and realised 5 days had passed from the offer date. I phoned the finance company to pay the loan off, to be told I would have to pay 1 years interest up front because I'd missed the deadline - £900 roughly!

Anyone had this problem before, and can you get the money back?

    Thanks

    WHAT?!
I've done nothing wrong! I'm not going to be taking up the loan?
