update:
Thanks all. I've been so busy with this saga I never got back.
Google is basically now a psychopath. A friend picked a lovely placid little hen from his flock and we put her in. Google perked up but still won't come out and stays on the perch all the time although she must be coming down for food and water.
However she is so jumpy she attacks the other poor little thing viciously and SHE is now terrified of everything including me and won't come out. Newbie was laying first few days but not since. I'm constantly down there trying to coax them out or at least do 'anything' normal but they won't even touch goodies I leave inside the coop let alone come outside unless I actually lift them out whereupon google really leaps on the other one and tries to murder her. I think she needs a chicken psychologist!!Living on Earth can be expensive, but it does include an annual free trip around the Sun.0 -
Oh, this is a sad story.
I'm wondering - do you think Rescue Remedy would help? I know that some people use it for their dogs around Bonfire night. I don't think it would do any harm and it might do some good. Maybe someone on one of the chicken forums would know if it might help?Aspire not to have more but to be more.

So sorry, I wish I could offer some advice, but I know nothing about chickens other than I think they are lovely. It must be a nightmare not knowing how to fix this. Hoping something gets sorted out for you soon. Have a big virtual hug.0
