Charity Bag Collections
Options
Hi, not sure if I should have posted this in the charity section or not, but I thought I'd try here. I have several bags of clothes I've been collecting for the charity shop. But I'm without trasport and I don't want to lug big black bags full of clothes on the bus.
I'm wondering if charities will come and collect stuff if I phone the local shop up? I keep getting leaflets through the door, but they are from the registered companies, who sell the stuff on and make money from it. (they don't even give you a bag either!)
I'm living near Falkirk, so if you know of anywhere that would come and collect, please let me know. I don't really mind what charity its for, as long as it is a real charity.
Thanks!

Think that you'll find they will be more than keen to pick up stuff if you ask them. I'm nowhere near Falkirk, but know that certainly that charity shops in Arbroath will pick up if you ask them too. Also if local churches are having a sale of any sort, might be worth a thought. Local radio stations are usually putting out appeals for people who have had rough times. Might also be worth checking on freecycle and there's that new free site freeko.0

After my mum passed away we had loads of stuff suitable for re-sale in a charity shop s we phoned the local one and they sent a van next day and took everything, they were happy to come at a time that suited us.0

Hey neighbour! I'm in Falkirk.
The British Heart Foundation on the High Street will send out their van if you call them.0 -
hiya
if you use the local freecycle group nearby to you, you will almost certainly get someone come to take the clothes from you and it will go to help someone also.
