Freezing Food

I got an absolute bargain on some pork mince, which had been in the freezer for about 6 weeks. So yesterday, after it had defrosted, I put it in the slow cooker, and made a fab chilli. However there is now enough leftover to make two more meals, my question is, is it safe to re-freeze?

  • The cooked chilli can be safely frozen but if you meant you have left over defrosted pork mince then no it should be cooked first then the cooked meal(s) could be safely frozen.
  • Thx, I did cook all the mince in the chilli, so it will now be frozen for another time :)
