2 decision in principles...same lender?

Me and fianc! had a decision in principe direct from skipton a month ago. We did make an offer at weekend (which we were outbid on and also no longer want) abms the estate agent (who are part of skipton) said they wanted to do another decision in principe. Reluctantly I agreed. Again this mortgage would have been with skipton (95%) and another dip carried out. So now 2 from same lender on credit report within month of eachother which I gather will only be on call credit (noddle)
Will this affect us both when we apply for mortgage? We won't be applying for at least a year as now saving for 10% deposit. Broker assured me 2 checks not be a problem but I'm not do sure.
Our credit scores are ok...no debts anymore (paid off), no defaults etc only student loans

I would have rejected that request. All they are trying to do is get their agency attached to your case so they get paid for introducing it.
A Skipton agent, a Skipton mortgage and Skipton's own credit reference agency. I'm not saying there's necessarily anything wrong with that but it does seem a little incestuous. Who told you the searches would only show up on Call Credit?
As you're going back to your original plan not to buy now this may have no implications for you. What is the deal they are offering you? Hanley BS has also launched at 95%.Hanley Economic Building Society is now offering its 95% LTV mortgage via brokers.
The three-year discount product has a rate of 4.75% and a fee of £499, while it comes with £250 cashback and a free valuation.
For direct customers the product is only available in Staffordshire and has a maximum loan size of £150,000, but via brokers it is available nationwide and has a maximum loan size of £250,000.
The society also returned to buy-to-let lending last month after being out of the market for the last three years, but its buy-to-let products are currently only available direct.
A Hanley spokesman says the society has just started its financial year and is looking to do the majority of its mortgage lending in the first half of the 12-month period.I am a mortgage broker. Some of the tactics estate agents use to get you to use their advisers are bordering on blackmail...

Skipton only use Call Credit because they OWN Call Credit, hence my comment earlier. A search done on Experian should show up on Equifax and Call Credit and vicky verky, as far as I know.
I don't expect two searches to have a serious impact, especially if you have a gap before your next one.
Estate agency advisers flogging insurance? Really? Who are they tied to these days? Still L&G?I am a mortgage broker. Oh???
can anyone confirm what king street is saying? I can't believe the pushy EA mortgage adviser may have wrecked our chances of a mortgage0 -

Say you want all of them ( so that they will really push for your mortgage offer)... then when you get that offer, say that you have shopped around and got better quotes elsewhere ( which I am sure you will be able to).
You have to " lead them down the garden path" a bit, if they are not playing fair with you in the first placeI am a Mortgage adviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
