A lot of people have had their creditors agree to stop the interest and charges themselves though I've noticed.

Well I got wonga to do it but only for 38 days until they got a dmp or iva proposal.

We are going to go for a DMP and I have asked today if we need to could we go for a IVA at a later date if we find the DMP not suitable, which we can.

But like you, we feel that it would be unlikely for our creditors to take us to court because it would not benefit them. We could not afford to pay anymore and the budget gets reviewed every year so it would always be up to date. We don't have enough equity in our property to make it worthwhile them making us bankrupt, as in the long run they would get less of their money back.

Ringing Payplan tomorrow to see how they respond

    Good luck.

Good luck with that. What are your thoughts about speaking to CCCS too? Could be good to get a 2nd opinion if nothing else?

I am happy to talk to them but going to wait and see what Payplan say first. I want to feel that they are going to do all that they can to help with our DMP, as they should.

I looked at CCCS website earlier and the quick check thing suggested a DMP and National Debtline also said DMP.

    Will keep you all informed.

I would go to cccs website, and it can be done online - you don't have to take them up on it, and they also have a budget suggested based on your family, ie 2 adults, xx children etc.

I went throu cccs and they were absolutely brilliant, I'll be honest and I've started a dmp, but I'm self managing, and the companies have been brilliant, I will be honest some asked for more than I could offer, but once said I've spoken to cccs, this is the plan we have done, now I can get them to take it all over, and your get the same amount, or deal with me and your get the money. They soon agreed with me.
My debts are all over the place, one credit card has an apr of 59.9%, they've dropped it to 0%, and worked out with my offer, the account will be £0 in 5 years. To be honest I thought they were going to be arkward.

Please take a 2nd opinion, if you don't feel comfortable now with payplan, if you went IVA thats 5 yrs, a DMP, maybe longer, do you want to be with a company that your unsure of now.

I'd say jump ship now before you sign anything. xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
