Hi chaps,
I am an occasional poster on the DFW board, but I have a query which I thought someone on here may be able to help me with.....
My DP has a credit card (Conran Visa) which we use for all of our spending during the month (don't worry, it's cleared every month - get the cashback and use an offset mortgage). The card was applied for over the internet, and at no point has my DP signed a credit agreement for this card. I am a secondary card holder on this card and I have certainly signed nothing (as I would expect) but DP is pretty certain that he has not signed a credit agreement, everything was done electronically.
How can this credit agreement be enforced? We have no intention of defaulting on it, but this is just an academic question?
Thanks
Puss

Its done by clicking a box, electronically - so yes, it is a credit agreement.
you wont have clicked it as your a secondary card holder so if youdont pay it it doesnt matter as your OH is responsible for paying the bill
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Thanks for the reply - seems to be pretty easy to get a credit card and there seems to be few, if any checks that you are who you say you are!
Scary stuff!

I suppose there is the same level of check that is given to any other credit card application. In my credit ridden past (seems so long ago until I look at my CCCS statement!) I can't remember any of the multitude of credit card applications that I made being overly detailed.
Their checks on you will be mainly electronic ie voters roll, credit checks, etc.0
