help please - so want to be debt free!!!

I have been stupid over the years with money (really dont need anyone to tell me as I already do know) consequences are I have 3 credit cards virgin - i owe £2750 (have closed account just need to pay balance) capital one - I owe E500 ( i am okay with this again closed and paying off monthly. LLoyd tsb - I owe £4000 (still active but paying off)

My problem really is my virgin card I have a monthly minimum payment of £107 per month which is actually the maximum I can pay off that I am being charged £61 per month interest as i have a poor credit rating i am struggling to get an interest free credit card i could swap to and just wondered if there was anyone out there who did offer a swap on poorish credit history or am i just going to have to bite the bullet for the next few years and just pay the high interest?

thanks in advance

No-one is going to tell you you are stupid. We are here for support and advice! It certainly isn't stupid anyway, a lot os us were in much worse shape financially. Not to downplay your situation, but hopefully to show you things will be fine.

Regarding your question, one of the comparison websites, I think its moneysupermarket.com will tell you which offers you will be likely to get accepted for after pumping in some of your info. Its not a guarantee but a good guide. Sounds like shifting it to a 0% deal is a good idea for you. I'm a big advocate of it as it helped me greatly. Provided you GET RID OF THE OLD CARDS AFTERWARDS :)

Never use the card with the 0% deal either. Make a note of the long number so you can make repayments, then shred it straight away. Don't reveal the PIN on the pin letter. Shred this too. Its not a payment method, its a loan. Use it to your advantage!

Good luck! Oh and agree with FB, post an SOA. :)
