Aldi ready meals

Just a tip if people on here haven't tried these before... I know ready meals aren't brilliant but it's always handy to have a stock in the freezer for those nights when you don't have time or just can't be bothered. I picked up a few of Aldi's frozen ready meals a couple of weeks ago, I thought for 99p each they'd be worth a shot - and they're actually really nice! I've had the cannelloni primavera and the penne pasta with BBQ chicken so far, both very filling and tasty. Like I said not particularly healthy but for the odd one-off meal you can't go wrong, and so much cheaper than a lot of other ready meals. (Not as cheap as Tesco Value, but Tesco Value ready meals are mostly pretty rank!)

I haven't got to try them myself yet but DH has really enjoyed Aldi's Thai Fishcakes. I bought them in becasue they're recommended by Slimming World (so really healthy as ready meals go) but so far he's had them (with frozen spinach) as a meal for one when he's home alone.

When I had no kitchen, (long story) and just had a microwave for a short while, I tried the Aldi frozen roast dinners.. I think they were around the £1.25 mark and was really pleasantly surprised. I thoroughly enjoyed them.
