Sourcing hampers?

I want to make a couple of hampers this year but I have no idea where to get them from - don't really want to spend more than 20/25 pounds on the entire thing. Where do people normally get them from?

You can use anything, that's the beauty of it :) - boxes cut to size and wrapped in Christmas paper, gift bags, b&q had some baskets for gardening presents they were selling off, places like b&q/wilkos etc have plastic tubs you could use.

I only usually do Christmas Eve Hampers and I use flexitubs: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/47004571#Comment_47004571

This may or may not be helpful, but I went to a big car boot sale last weekend and I saw about 20 wicker hampers and baskets on sale on various stalls. Some new, some antique, some big, some small. It's typical because I was looking for them last year and couldn't find any!
But you could try a car boot near you and you might be lucky.

I got some nice baskets from Dunelm Mill. They were £5 and £7 but I know my mum and auntie will use them for other things so I think of them as part of the gift too. The smaller one had red and white checked pattern inside which will look nice with christmas ribbon etc. I'm looking forward to filling them with some nice christmas goodies :)
  • Try Home Bargains. Ours has had lots of suitable containers lately. They had baskets which were lined with fabric from £3.99, some boxes with attatched lids that had pale blue or pink gingham (would suit younger people or a new baby hamper) at £2.99 and some plastic tubs with lids with cars / princesses on that would be ideal for kids hampers from £2.99.
Definately worth a look in there. hth
