Come on girls, 'fess up...

How many of you lovely ladies who read this bored are not quite engaged yet but are dying to start planning your wedding??

My OH hasn't proposed yet, but he's dropped enough hints and I just can't help looking at dresses and venues etc! I often come on here to read other bride's stories and so wish it was me.

Not that I'm desperate.... :D

Awww big hugs, propose to him break the trend
  • :rotfl:Ha me! I've dropped lots of hints to expect a proposal next leap year day (this coming February!) and if he doesn't want to be proposed to then he'll just have to do it before! See what happens I guess..! But would love to be married to each other, think the idea of spending lots on a party instead of going on a big holiday is putting us off. Get married..or go spend a few weeks in Thailand? :p
  • im another waiting lol been with my oh six years looked at rings together but thats it. Already got ideas on wedding but dread the cost of it all, seems all venues near me are a ridiculous cost
A big thank you to all those who post on the forum and make it a worthwhile place!!!:j

Not in that situation now but I'd got to the point that whenever we went to the zoo I'd by eyeing up the manor house and picturing us getting married...didn't really say much to OH other than maybe casually mentioning that if ever I was to get married again that's the sort of thing I'd prefer (we've both been married before in traditional church weddings)
But once he did pop the question I think it took me less than half an hour to start saying that next we go to the zoo we should ask about prices etc
  • I freely admit to having been a lurker before getting engaged! Nowt wrong with it :p

We had both been dropping hints for about a year before he proposed, so I feel your pain SaLoGo :)

I'm all for women proposing to their man, regardless of whether it's the traditional date to do so or not! I may well have proposed to him had I had to wait much longer!!

It's one of those things you can't really nag someone into doing, because if he's only doing it to shut you up it's not exactly romantic!

It's about the most frustrating situation you can be in, I reckon. :)

Ladies....don't forget the leap year tradition. If he hasn't proposed to you by next year....ask him to marry you on Feb 29th.

I did the proposing and I get married on Saturday!

Good to know I'm not alone!!

I'm not 'desperate' so to speak, but I know it's what we both want so it's just a case of when not if.

So far in my head I've got this 'planned':

Church wedding (if they let me as a divorcee)
Pink colour scheme (OH has already said he would weat a pink cravat)
I wanna make my own invitations and already know what they will look like!
I know the style of dress I'd like (have resisted looking at dress sites so far)
And I would like to go to Greece on the honeymoon. I would love to go to the Caribbean or Maldives, but we can get the luxury in Greece for half the price!

And, I just love reading this board! Especially the Bridezilla thread! I feel slightly Bridezilla already and I'm not even a bride yet :p
