Hey OSers

I know lots of you make your own yoghurt but I was wondering if its possible to make pro-biotic yoghurt drinks?

Has anybody tried this?

TIA

I thought live yoghurt was pro-biotic, in that it encouraged your own good gut bacteria to flourish? I've never seen the point of drinking extra "pro" bacteria when you've got your own HM stuff.

Blimey! I was pondering that myself this afternoon. If I make home made yoghurt with a probiotic yoghurt starter will the "imminutas/l casei" thingies breed in the yoghurt to make home made probiotic yoghurt? Could then add a bit of juice to get a probiotic drink?

Don't necessarily need to go the drink route but knowing I could make HM probiotic yog would be good as my digestion needs a bit of a boost.

I do already make HM yog, just want to know if it is probiotic or not?

I've just got some of the Pre/Probiotic Easiyo sachets from Lakeland. They work out to be £1.83/L or around 92p for a shop size 500ml. if you scooped out a bit and added to juice like one of the fancy little prebiotic drinks, should imagine it would last ages and save a fortune!

I do find it a bit sour though and have to take it out after 8 hours or else its very puckerish!!!!!
