Hi,
When searching mortgages on Moneysupermarket.com they are always listed by initial montly payments. As far as I can see it much better to put them in Actual cost over two years order.
I have spoken to a broker and he has suggested a HSBC lifetime tracker. But when I search on Moneysupermaket there are cheaper deals over available two years.
As the best tracker deals are 2 years, am I doing the right thing by searching over a 2 year cost?

The more a look the more confused i'm getting!
There are two deals tracker deals i'm comparing from moneysupermarket
2 year cost
Monthly Payment---- Setup Fees
HSBC
£11,349.04
£334.46
£1172
Principality--- £10,211.27
£350.49
£999
What I don't understand is the difference in 2 year cost, the monthly costs and setup fees are similar. So how can there be a difference of around £1137 over 2 years. Surely if the HSBC monthly cost is £16 less, it should work out to be cheaper over 2 years.0 -
Good old money supermarket!
I think the issue is that this is an unregulated website, so there info does not have to be accurate, they take the costs from the info provided by the lenders, who feed it in different formats hence the errors.
Also I don't think Moneysupermaket show all lenders, possibly only those who "sponser" them in some way? I don't think Woolwich for example are listed.I am a mortgage adviser. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
