or even make me ill?????...
I've got about 7 eggs that are use by 28th september-I put them in a large jug of water and they didn't float (they sort of tilted 'upwards' but were most definitly still on the bottom of the jug) Would they still be ok to use in a cake????

They should be ok in a cake. I have used eggs about 3 wks after the date and Im still here with no probsGetting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a time and Love sewing

I have used eggs well past the date and been fine.
I think you know when an egg is off just by looking at it and or smelling it. Crack them open and see.0 -

however i would say just cook them if thye do not smell bad once cooked then eat

Looks to me like the choice is cake or no cake.

Crack them open individually and if they look O.K. then they are perfectly safe to use.0

They are unlikely to kill you, but as we can't see/smell them it's really your decision
You will know by the smell if they are off. I would crack each one separately into a saucer before adding to the cake mix as if one of them has actually gone bad then you won't have to bin all of your ingredients.
