Looked at the these last night - and they have gone down again this morning - £80 seems a good price for them if you are after a pair.

i've been watching them - i was after a pair and had some amazon vouchers - ummed and argged last night - and then when i looked this morning they had come down in price - so have bitten the bullet and gone for them :j

Sorry to sound thick but I keep hearing about these ghds, whats so special about them and why are they so expensive? Im looking for a main xmas pressie for my teen daughter, would these be suitable for a 13 year old girl??

Oooh I'm tempted! GHD's are the only things that'll straighten my curly locks and I'm fed up of trying with others and having a fluffy wavey mess left instead but never wanted to fork out full price as it didn't seem right lol

Thanks - had these in my basket waiting for them to come down - nearly finished with youngest DD christmas list:T Answer to previous poster - are they suitable for 13 year old ? Most definately - my youngest has spent the last year pinching her elder sisters so this will be her main pressie !

They get very hot - I've had other good straighteners but find these work much better and keep hair straighter for longer. You can also register ghds and think they have a good guarantee should they ever need to be sent away for a repair so they should last a long time.

i always thought they were dear for what they were - but used my nieces last year and they were fab. Much quicker than my £40 ones and lasted all day - which is worth the extra sepnd for me.
