Thanks cp and bebebelle:) its a very good question that I dont know the answer too, since I've been using IE9 my laptop is much more secure, for work I use a lot of obscure sites and I've had at least 85% less problems than before with IE8 as you said other attacks would be interesting to know about but I must stress that I dont know if my problem is linked to this comp, could just be one of those things, I'm so glad I have internet only cards though with very low limits/balances on them everyone always laughs at me for being paranoid;)
