I contacted a company whose name I can't remember (but I am sure someone with a better memory will come along in a minute - it was one of those that advertises nationally) last year, and they were ages getting back. In the end, they offered me less than the company who sold me the endowment, who I went with in the end. Do be careful, it seems a bit of a minefield. When I first contacted CIS (who originally sold me the endowment) they initially gave me a really disappointing figure. When I went ahead with it though, I got several thousand more than their estimate. I still lost out though, but don't consider that I was mis-sold, as the agent did explain all the things that he was supposed to. It was just a rubbish investment when it came down to it. Sorry, this isn't that helpful. There may be more info about endowments on one of the other boards, but do try to get some decent advice, especially if you think it may have been mis-sold, as there is the potential to be thousands of pounds better or worse off.0

Hi Brandi, try https://www.freetrawl.com
This is a website that you can put your endowment on the market with. I thnk the fee is £150 if you sell it through them. However, you'll need all the policy info including up to date surrender value and declared bonus. You may not get more than your own Life company is offering but it's worth it just have a look. Just a quick note though, if you have only a couple of years to go it may not be worth cashing at all (depending on your circumstances obviously) as the last few years could be the ones that add the most value to the policy. Also, the figures that the life companies quote may be a lot less than you'll actually receive due to the figures they have to use to come up with these calculations. AMy also depend if it's a with profits policy which I guess it is?
Send me a private message if you want to know more as I don't to clog up the thread by going on!!! (obviously this is based on personal experience etc and not professional advice).0
