Good morning folks and a happy Halloween to you all,

As I'm off today, but am going out to finish my Christmas shopping, today will definitely be a spendy for me. I hope everyone has a good day whatever they're doing.

Wow! I am suitably impressed with your organisation. I have started my shopping but I'm sure there'll be a last min scramble. Have some things on a list but also waiting to see what Amazon will come up with on their Black Friday sale.
Update on Iggy - still no sign....but still keeping my fingers crossed - you never know :)

    x

Hope Iggy returns soon. Have you checked any trees near you? Our minx got stuck up (the same) tree several times going after (the same) pigeon nest.

Donna, we were having exactly the same thought earlier, I only bought one bag this year after not having many visitors last year and we're down to about 3 lollies and 4 packs of fizzers  Luckily the QS seem safe for the mo, else I'm gonna have to start giving out TCO ;):rotfl::rotfl:

Well...drum roll... NSD 12 achieved! :j Not quite my target for the month but Spoony you were right about wondering whether I'd hit double figures this month  I did collect a coat for my OH GD's xmas prezzie but that had been paid for already.

Jinty - aches still somewhat present today but I can now do a fab impression of John Wayne when I walk :rotfl:

See you all on the Nov thread

Take care with that burn, marmiterulesok have you tried using Aloe Vera gel (100% stuff)? It is really good for burns, it may sting a bit initially, but it fairly speeds up the healing process. It's even better, (though much messier!), if you use the leaf goop from fresh aloe vera plants.

I used to supply a young lad with lots of plants to treat some severe chest and upper arm burns he got when he had been in a kitchen fire as a chef...the docs were amazed at his recovery, as none of the conventional medicines were helping him to heal much at all. He used a leaf a day, and it certainly worked! Look out for Aloe Gel at a health shop...not cheap, but brilliant. We always have at least one tube of it in the house. We keep the aloes as house plants...but have used them when we ran out of gel. :)

Thanks for this info.I've never tried aloe vera, but have heard it's good. They prescribed Flammazine cream -don't know if it's called the same thing in Britain.I'll have a lookout for some gel.
  • Well done to everyone who met their targets :)

I'm pleased to say I managed to meet my target :D :j. 10/10 for me. At the In-laws at the weekend so no spending then and nothing to get yesterday so I made my sprint finish. See you on November challenge!
