Well we were at a boot sale and not doing one. Actually we were going to then life overtook us yesterday and didn't get to check out the loft which is heaving so we've put it off til weekend (weather permitting) just as well though - can you imagine having to be towed with a car full of carp?

OH has been checking out parts on ebay this afternoon and they are cheaper but of course there's always the chance you'll buy the wrong thing. Also being a Saturday not many replies to phone calls to local garages. Halfords (and we only rang them for a ball park) quoted £475 :eek:.

OH is frustrated because he could do the job himself if he had the right tools and a ramp.

As to neighbour well I suppose Im too much of a pushover with her. Thing is Ive lived next door to the neighbours from hell before and Id rather be her friend than her enemy iykwim. In the perfect world she would not be someone I would be friends with but then fate often throws you in different directions doesn't it? They are quite a dysfunctional lot, plenty of occasions when the police have pulled up bringing one or other of her teenagers home worse for wear. She is quite needy and I have found myself lending her money, food, tobacco on many occasions. She has in fairness always paid me back though and I know I could rely on her to have Amelia for me if we were desperate. I have let her decorate my christmas tree the last couple of years as I have found this particular task very difficult emotionally, I lost my eldest daughter two years ago you see, and at times I still find I am wearing the concrete boots of grief if that makes sense. Christmas is difficult and Julie (neighbour) does have a flair for christmas decorating. She is thrice divorced :eek: and desperate for a man. A year ago she was on an online dating mission and she had no morals with letting them stay over - suffice to say I have had to close our bedroom window many times for it sounded like cats outside! lol. Anyway, she thought she'd met "the one" and moved him in quick sharp. He looked like a weasel to me and sure enough his true colours shone brightly when he subjected her to an attack which left him on a suspended sentence and Julie without a front tooth and many bruises. Anyway, I digress - a lot! - at that time she was unable to go shopping distressed by her injuries and I offered to take her to chaparone her and my role has stuck.

Im a bit of a softie especially when it comes to furries and I couldn't see her bunnies neglected. I just feel ive made a rod for my own back really.

Shame about the car, but obviously Halfords are going to quote the highest :mad: but Monday you may find a lovely little garage that won't charge the earth.

I ordered some on 12th Aug & they arrived sometime before 31st Aug (was on hol). Since then I've ordrered some on 6th Sept but no sign yet. Secondly, can any of you lot remember whether Mr A was selling the Aquafresh Ultimate toothpaste for £1 during the week? I wsa just checking a receipt from Tues and noticed I was chargd £1.72 but am positive I wouldn't have bought it unless it was on offer. Have emailled CS but I just wanted confirmation for my own sanity.
