    right, need some help.

our little furry friend is back. and from the looks of it, it is a baby  means mother and father are around somewhere

we blocked the hole I found that we thought it was coming through. It is very early tonight. Just spotted it twice. Wanted to throw something at it, but only had laptop to hand!

when I get paid, mousetraps it is, behind the sofa, because that is definitely where they all travel behind, no idea why.

anyway to deter them cost effectively from house, none of these plug ins that are supposed to send sonic noise. Tried one in last place, didn't work. We had rats come in.

Oh noooooooooooo my elder sis has given me nightmares:eek::eek::eek: A few years ago for 2 years running I had mice and they were cheeky !!!!!!s who used to walk around the room:eek::eek: One of the times I even went to stop at my mothers house for a couple of weeks to give the mouse boxes the council put down time to work. I used to hear them scratching all night and day and then for months afterwards:(:( I remember my OH finding 12 of them in one day:eek::eek:
You ought to adopt a cat for a few weeks. I did find the black boxes the council put down were very good, but my OH also blocked lots of places with steel plates cos they ate through the concrete somehow.:eek:
Luckily I haven't had any for a few years now, but just reading your story brings it all back and makes me wanna get a few bottles drunk tonight:o:o:o
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

    MT Thank You:T:T:T:T:A:A:A:A:A
I cannot be bothered most days with trying to read through all the stuff on the coupon thread, so guess missing quite a few coupons now, but tbh it is just too much effort to go through all the same stuff that is posted on there. It's bad enough reading dr's carp on here :D

I can offer very reasonable rates to hire my moggy out, she's proving very adept at catching mice - the only problem is that she catches them outside and bring them inside ALIVE! Then loses interest and leaves it to us to re-catch them. I can recommend peanut butter is their food of choice (mice, not cats :D)

    Oh horror

My sister in law backs on to a golf course and has had a problem since start of July, she has bought every gadget/gizmo out there with little effect :(

The problem is always gonna be trying to find out how they access the house and thats not easy, in the meantime buy the sticky glue stuff than can be put down on card at night with chunks of Mars bars in the middle and hope to catch them in the usual "run" areas but you need to dispose of these every morning or the kids will have a field day.

Any chance you can borrow a friends cat for a few weeks, its still one of the most effective deterents and if they're coming in from outside they will likely chose to board elsewhere if the cat has moved in.

Much sympathy, very hard to deal with, hope you catch the little !!!!!!s. :)

    MICE like chocolates.

we always bait our mousetraps with chocolate.

we had them last year, and council came and put in poison. they stopped.

we blocked the holes we could find.

but there is one i cannot block. it is where the pipes go under the house, for the meters.

might just buy poison and chuck it down there.

and as for being cheeky...... I swear one grinned at me last year as it went under the door!

don't know anyone with a cat local to me... although we have cats depositing in our garden

Landlord had to pay for the council last year and wasn't happy. told him it was his fault for having holes in his house in the stupidest places.

might get poison and mousetraps on wednesday when I get paid.

no, no, humour is good :D

DS is being a pain, he was eating cakes everywhere today and his Dad came in and said look at the crumbs, no wonder we get mice.... his fault mice turned up tonight, he called them! I hoovered but we have deep pile carpet and you can never get it all out. Then DS is offering to help me hoover....

LL said no pets, but if this carries on, I am going to tell him he will need to reduce rent and let me have a cat or a dog.
