Great post TBN for M&S THANKYOU VERY MUCH :j:beer::j
As it is one per person am I being to greedy ordering turkey baste under DH & say cranberry sauce under me:D:D:D;) Oh I love you lot
Has anyone used M&S at xmas in the past? Do they tend to add extra things as the weeks go on?
We've got 8 plus 2 kids plus babba for xmas & I want a turkey crown cos I'm not fond of a whole turkey, too much effort and wasteage - plus oven is full of turkey and we like lots of roasties. Bit tempted with the turkey on there but it's pricey. Everyone is bringing different bits and bobs, I should have just asked for cash contributions:rotfl:
Oh I am feeling very christmassy now. Too early for xmas music?0 -

Has anyone else read this; The Thrift Book by India Knight?

I was given it as a gift at the end of last year and since have bought it for 2 others. Whilst mine is published on 2009, its got some great money savings ideas from shopping for food to holidays. However its not measley living - its quite the opposite - saving money on unimportant things but still living very well. I liked her style she was quite funny too.
Defo one recommended for your xmas list!:TI've saved £518.70 with mocs and CS since 15 May (yes, I am keeping count!):T

Not been on much this weekend.
Had a fruitful day on Saturday. OH and DD1 went to meadowhell on the train so me and FD went into town to pick up a parcel from post office and go to bank so took opportunity to get my Emma's Diary packs - got 2 from Argos and 1 from Lloyd's Chemist. We know someone who is pregnant so the nursing pads, etc. will be donated to her.
Then it was onto S's where I got 3 Dettols and some other stuff all with coupons and paid £2.
This was followed by T's where I filled up OH's car and used fuel coupon. Put loads of cans in recycling machine for Clubcard points (FD likes doing this!)
Then into shop and split me shop - a coupon shop - got £20 off and a small JTD shop (managed a couple of coupons here as well, £1.50 I think) for 2 x filtered milk and 1 x Innocent Kids for £1.58 coupon, cost £1.50ish.
Also went out to pub for lunch and used 2 coupons - got a free pint of Hobgoblin and 50% off food at our local Marston's,
Busy on allotment yesterday - harvesting all me pumpkins, butternut squash, cobra beans, strawberries (amazing!), tomatoes, radish, beetroot, the last of me spuds (what we've got in storage should last us till next April) and a load of salad. Still got plenty of parsnips, leeks, radish, salad and greens. If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat0
