Asking you lovely people on behalf of a friend.
If you are choosing to have or have had a secret/private wedding what did you arrange regarding witnesses?
Did you just grab 2 people from the street? Was it hard to find people to agree or with the time to help out?
(Sadly I don't live close enough to help out at my friend live to far)

Some work colleagues of mine decided on a Saturday to get married, popped in the registry office who said they had a slot on the Wednesday and they just went and did it. They didn't even think about witnesses and actually stopped a couple on the street - they were tourists on holiday there and loved the idea and were quite happy to oblige. I think the registry office might also be able to provide people who can witness too0
