More Financial Ltd

Hi, i hope someone can help me, i had a call from more financial to offer me a loan they took my bank details and as soon as they said they were a broker and there was a fee for £69.50 i declined and said no i dont want that im not paying for a loan.

Then you know whats next they took £69.50 from my account after me saying to them i dont want it.

I have 2 questions.

1. Can i get a refund ? and if so what address do i use as this is on their website, More Financial Ltd, Complaints Dep, 483 Green Lanes, London, N13 4BS.

Is this the right address ?

Also could i use this i copied this from another firm someone posted
[Your Name & Address]

[Date]

Dear Sir/Madam

On the [Date] I made an application to your company for a loan I have a copy of the email and the administration fee was paid.

I would like to ask that you refund my administration fee minus £5 which by law you are entitled to keep.

I would at this time remind you that Section 155 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 provides that a credit-broker may charge no more than £5 for his services if the consumer does not enter into a relevant agreement within six months of an introduction to a prospective source of credit or hire. If the broker has already charged more than £5 for his services and section 155 applies, the excess must be refunded to the consumer upon request.

As I have never entered into any relevant agreement the above applies and you are lawfully bound to refund the original administration fee, minus £5.

Should you fail to do so, I will have no option but to report your company to the Office of Fair Trading to whom you are licensed by.

You have 21 days from today in which to refund the requested monies. Please make any cheques payable to [Your Name]

It's the one on their website so I would say there is a fair chance it is the one to use.

If you are cancelling within 14 days you can have it all back. Don't give them £5 for nothing.

But this company must have another company name as its not coming up in Royal mail on their website.

Its strange because other forums say different addresses, im just wandering which one it really is ?

    Hi Woodbine,

No i dont always give out my bank details, if that was the case i dont think you and everyone else on here would be getting ripped off.

But thank you for clearing that up.

So why did you give out your bank details to someone cold calling you offering you a loan?

Come on Andy, stop dithering about.

Has it really not sunk in with you yet this is a scam company? The joker running the scam will have dozens of different companies all ripping people off. People who will believe anything said to them.

Just get the letter in the post in accordance with the terms. Them raise the formal complaint. Then go to the FOS

I'll make you a promise right now, you are not getting a loan from here or anywhere else.
Unless you wake up, you are going to get scammed many, many more times until you do.

How would your friend at Royal Mail know that?

It took me 30 seconds to find it is company number 7078690 and has its registered office at 83 Ducie Street, Manchester, M1 2JQ.

You can send correspondence there. Keep proof of posting (free from the Post Office).

    Hi magpiecottage,

    Thank you for your email.

But its strange because there is no mention of this address on their website in the T&Cs, also checked with a few other people and they have the same problem no address for them.

I checked that address you gave but still no luck, are the using another company name ?

    Thank you

    Andy
