My cousin once arrived at a gig and discovered after setting up that he had no plectrum so he got a pair of scissors and cut up his credit card. For some people that could be not only free but actually resulting in saving money!0

There were a tread for a free plectrum last year. I just looked at the site but the promotion seem to have ended. It was https://www.fender.co.uk
They had a 60 year diamond anniversery and were giving plectrum away. I got one for my husband.0
