Boots Botanics cosmetics less than 1/2 price

I've been in the Cardiff Boots store this morning & all Boots Botanics cosmetics are marked 1/2 price...but most items are slightly less than that.
e.g all eyeshadows £1.00 (normally £3.50)
lipsticks £3, (normally £7)
eyeliner pencils £2
Mascara £3 (normally £7)
They're 50% off on the online shop as well, but there's nothing much left. Plenty in the shops though, but only while stocks last (so the assistant told me).
