Buying an Ipad on the Gumtree ?

Hi guys,
Im considering buying an ipad on the Gumtree and I know this is a risky as hell, however I am aware of all the scams and have being buying and selling online for years.
Im not greedy or gullible and if I smell a rat I'll walk straight away, for example somebody offering a 64gb Ipad 2 for £200 telling me they lost the receipt down the toilet.
Here is what I intend to do,
I will only agree to buy from somebody who has it sealed with the original receipt although Im not sure if it would be best to meet them at their home or in a public place ?
If I only agree to buy one that is sealed with the receipt can anybody think of any reasons why this would still be risky or how I could still get scammed or better still has anybody actually bought 1 from the gumtree.
In the back of my mind Im thinking maybe they'll mug me on the way home or they've sealed up a box of books and bought a receipt somewhere.
Thanks

Hmm..
There are only limited reasons why people would be selling a sealed Ipad, but if they were, I'm not sure they'd let you open it without committing to buy. It would almost seem risky if they did - its worth so much more sealed, and you could play with it then walk away.
I'm not sure I'd buy one from Gumtree. Getting one from Apple, either new or a refurb, seems much, much safer.0
