Yes I would just finely chop. Then if you want to when you mix the lard in, use a potato masher to get it all together. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
As the others have said, chop it as finely as you can using a knife then if you have one you could use a pestle and mortar to combine it into a paste.

I often wonder when chefs say 'this is a traditional recipe', then proceed to use a food processor - what the heck they used fifty or a hundred years ago? Victorians used a food mill, before that it must have been knives and pestle and mortar! or perhaps they just liked it a bit lumpy!0

Wooden spoon in a jug. Chop the prawns up a bit with scissors, add herbs, chop more, pound the lot together with the spoon and add the oil at the end.Val.0

Crush the prawns on a chopping board with the side of a Chinese cleaver if you've got one or a wide bladed knife. Very quick and less washing up!0
