I was serious. Where is the machine? It would be handy for getting cash in Euros for trips down south. Are there any other banks that have machines which dispense Euros?0 -
The £1.50 is reasonable, but it really depends on the exchange rate. Doing a bit of research can get you a lot more for your money but you're paying for the convenience too.Norn Iron Club Member No. 252 :beer:0

There's one on the north side of Donegall square, and another in the Central station... I've seen others dotted around, our local Tesco used to have one (not anymore).0 -
There is also a euro dispensing machine at the Outlet shopping centre on the A1 at Banbridge, very handy to drop in to en-route to Dublin from Belfast.0

There is one in the departure terminal of the internatonal airport, it offered me a rate of 1.06 when the base rate was 1.16 so I kindly declined as my halifax clarity reward credit card does not charge are fee and has no rate loading either.0

Hi All,
I have just notice that Halifax have charged me £1.50 for using an ATM in Belfast because it dispenced Euro's (First Trust).
So not only was I hit by a poor exchange rate from one bank I've now been hit by my own bank for using the ATM even though it isn't in a different country.
Is this right? Seems a bit unfair to me, anyone else know why this has happened (Apart from Halifax being an awful bank)?
Use your own bank atm machine and you'll not get charged for it. As for the Euro v Stirling issue, you have to use AIB or BOI banks.
Why didn't you go into your own bank and ask them to exchange pounds for euros, surely they wouldn't have charged you an expence for that?0
